During Christmas I made a few of these sweet looking birds for the Christmas tree.
You will need:
- some left over fabric (thank you Mum :))
- Bondaweb (fabric adhesive using an iron – pure genius!)
- needle & thread
- cotton wool or polyester stuffing
- a bird template
Pin a paper cut-out of the below template to two pieces of fabric and then cut it out. Cut out a heart shape from fabric of a different colour (I used red) and stick it onto the front of one of the pieces of fabric you cut out earlier (Bondaweb enable you to stick it on using the heat from an iron). Then sew a button on it. Sew the two pieces of fabric together but remember to add some stuffing before you sew the last bit up. I began and ended the sewing at the top so I could also sew on the ribbon.
Hang on your Christmas tree or give as a present to a friend
